Passport to Design
My name is Tania LaCaria. Before I opened my own Decorating firm, TLC Design & Décor, I worked in some of the top design firms in Toronto, Canada and have traveled to some of the most exotic destinations around the world. Here, on Passport To Design, my two loves collide. My life changed after I embarked on a three month long backpacking adventure through South East Asia. I have had the privilege of traveling comfortably through Europe, Central America and the Caribbean in the past, but nothing prepared me for the culture shock that accompanied me during my journey through Hong Kong, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. I learned an immeasurable amount of information about art and architecture from different cultures and have come to recognize the insatiable passion I have for travel. This blog is an outlet for me – each post is a way for me to affectionately reminisce on my experiences, while also sharing some of the wonderful things I learned and saw with fellow design-enthusiasts. I am itching to embark on my next major travel adventure through Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Morocco and Tunisia.
