Practicality reigns

We all have to compromise sometimes. Editor and travel expert Christina Henry dreams of the day she can have a chic & sexy travel bag. But for now, practicality reigns.

Although there are sexier bags out there, I'd have to select my Ellington ($60) laptop bag since it's accompanied me on every single work trip I've taken. This MacGyver-esque workhorse transforms from practical backpack for easy walking to workplace appropriate when I hide the back straps and put on the shoulder strap. But for pure stylish fun, I'd choose the immensely impractical but beautiful over-sized orange leather tote from Ellington, which looks like it's more suited to carrying fashion mags, summer reading, sun glasses, and a guidebook to Barcelona.
